Damian Kompel is an Argentinian film composer, arranger, and clarinet player based in Los Angeles, California. He was awarded the World Tour Scholarship and the Alf Clausen Award for Gifted Composers after completing the Film Scoring program at Berklee College of Music. In addition, Damian is a Latin Grammy Foundation Ambassador and a recipient of the foundation's Tuition Assistance Award.
Damian has composed several scores that have been featured at internationally recognized festivals, including the Tribeca Film Festival, IDFA, BAFICI, and others. Alongside his work as a composer, he serves as a score coordinator, arranger, and orchestrator for Pedro Osuna (Argentina 1985, 007: No Time To Die, Lightyear), contributing to productions on major platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
His recent projects include orchestration for "The Residence" (Netflix) and score coordination for "Every Minute Counts" (Amazon Prime Video).


Damian was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He started studying music at E.M.C. (Escuela de Música Contemporanea) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he specialized in Piano performance, composition and arranging.
During his formation in Buenos Aires, he studied composition with Juan “Pollo” Raffo, tango writing and orchestration with Andres Linetzky and saxophone/clarinet with Ramiro Flores and Carlos Michelini.
Damian co-led the artistic project “Estas Como Queres” which combined theater and music. With “Estas Como Queres” Damian performed around the most prestigious venues in Buenos Aires, such as C.C.Konex, Teatro el Cubo, and many more.
Damian was accepted at Berklee College of Music after receiving a World Tour Scholarship, in the year 2020. At Berklee, Damian’s main focus was film and videogame scoring, having studied with professors like Richard Davis, Dario Eskenazi, Claudio Ragazzi and Duncan Watt. In 2022, Damian was awarded with the Alf Clausen Award for gifted composers. Aside from his studies as a film composer, Damian also focused on production and arranging, and he has participated of important live productions as a performer and an arranger.
Since 2024 Damian has been working as consultant and score coordinator for the acclaimed film composer and orchestrator "Pedro Osuna".
Damian resides in Los Angeles, California.
